Boutique London hotel

This family-run hotel has a long and storied history, evolving over the years from a single townhouse into a collection of four interconnecting homes overlooking the picturesque Norfolk Square Gardens. Nestled in the heart of historic Paddington, the heritage building is a fine example of Victorian architecture, rich in character and original period detailing. However, the interiors — both guest rooms and communal spaces — had grown dated and no longer reflected the property’s charm or stature.

The brief was to revitalise the interiors, elevating them to modern standards while honouring the building’s unique history. The resulting design celebrates the balance between old and new — blending classic architectural elements with a fresh, contemporary sensibility. Each guest room, with its own distinct proportions and layout, was individually designed to highlight the building’s quirks and charm, ensuring that every stay feels personal, characterful, and distinctly memorable.
