For this project — a floating villa in Amsterdam acquired by a returning client — our focus was on creating a home that feels cohesive from the moment you step inside. The brief was simple yet thoughtful: connect the architecture and interiors through a disciplined material and colour strategy that would enhance everyday living.

We developed a curated palette of warm, earthy tones and natural materials that flow effortlessly throughout the plan. Timber, soft hues and tactile finishes create continuity between spaces, allowing the interior to feel both calm and layered.

The double-height living room became a defining moment in the design, where scale is balanced with intimacy. Here, material transitions and bespoke joinery guide movement and anchor the space, while thoughtful proportions create places to pause, gather and inhabit. Every detail was shaped around how this home would be used and experienced — a space that feels lived-in, personal and refined without excess.

This project reflects a tailored approach: clear design intent, considered choices and a commitment to harmony between form, function and material expression.
